Etsy planted the "handmade" marketplace on the Internet globally as most crafters would know then it branches and bears more similar ecommerce websites for selling and buying handmade crafts from around the world. The handmade fever reignites also local artists' entrepreneurs and personal bloggers who sell via their own website selling checkouts. Handmade embraces unique personal touches and priceless tags from its precious endeavour creating on something worth selling and it does not mean cheap to sell or buy either unless it's a giveaway. The treasure hunting for handmade crafts and handmade gifts these days are an endless marketplace to choose from.

For all creative artists, artisans or crafters; here are some great lists of handmade websites you can showcase your handmade products or items you have made or current projects. Our world became small through the Internet browsing all the DIY or Do It Yours stuff in the planet making the difference to make this world sustainable to live in by recreating and reusing stuffs that are just lying around us or aiming to save the land-filled mountains of garbage out there by simply creating handmade stuffs or things we thought we're not able to. The list goes on while I'm curating this :)

Popular for its bidding style, we saw that many beautiful handmade items that would have taken hours and hours to create, sold for next to nothing. How sad! We wanted to create a marketplace where Artisans could list their quality, handmade products for a fixed price, rather than an auction style, and sell them for a price that made all the time and love that went into creating that item, worth it." ~ By http://www.zibbet.com/

Combining their love for recycling and fashion, the off-cuts were twisted, knotted and looped together to make a range of brightly coloured earrings to sell alongside the baskets. How the word "robot" came about

The word "robot" first appeared in the play RUR published in 1920. Some claim that the word "robot" was first used in Josef Capek's short story Opilec (the Drunkard) published in the collection Lelio in 1917. According to the Capek brother's Society in Prague this is not correct. The word used in Opilec is "automat". I put a scan of the 1925 version of the Opilec short story online as a proof. "Robot" appeared in RUR for the first time. Source: http://capek.misto.cz/english/robot.html
