First in the World Pot Bellied Pig Obedience Lesson

The World's First Pot Bellied Pig Obedience Lesson

Oh poor pork belly!
Something pot bellied.
Lessons obeyed.
Pig whisperer whispered.
Unto thy pork belly.
~Collection of First~

Training commenced since 1980's for dogs prior to Karyn's inventive running event.

Trainer's Background:
Karyn Garvin refers to herself as a professional dog trainer and animal behavior specialist. There are only a handful of people in this country today who have been training dogs professionally for as long as Karyn has. “Professionally” being the key word here. This has been her livelihood, working at it six days per week for over thirty-three years. She was a professional dog trainer before it was really even known as, or considered, a profession. When pot-bellied pigs were all the rage in the 1990s Karyn was inventive in running the world’s first pot-bellied pig obedience class. She was there to help these pet owners learn how to live harmoniously with their new pets. You can still view the documentary video by going to her website:

First in the World Driving Dog

Names are Porter, Monty and Ginny: The World's First Driving Dogs claimed in New Zealand! They are adopted dogs.

Now, it's time training your dogs and have a great mate driver to anywhere you want while you snooze. Encouraging adopting dogs as part of your family. For those eating dog meats, re-frame and start training for the cause. Dogs are intelligent as pigs. Pigs are claimed to be even more intelligent than dogs.

Unfortunately, I came from a culture that eat dog meat but I myself don't eat anymore. Most Asian countries eat dog meats. Our countries do try to ban eating this animal. There are some awareness but implementing laws still like a brick wall.

Dogs this smart deserve a home. Every year, the SPCA need to find homes for thousands of dogs just like Porter -- dogs who have been abused, abandoned, or just forgotten. Our dogs may be a motley bunch, but they're all smart and they're all lovable. So please don't forget about them. Adopt them. Thermoforming 101 Infographic

Thermoforming 101: From Turtle Shells to Clamshells from plasticingenuity

Thermoforming is the process that turns raw plastics into the packages and containers people rely on every day. While the process has changed shape over the years, it was seen in its earliest incarnations thousands of years ago. So what is thermoforming, exactly, and how is it different now from when it was first invented? Thermoforming is the process of heating a plastic sheet and stretching it over a mold. As the plastic cools, it hardens, permanently retaining that shape. Ancient Romans were some of the first thermoformers in history. They imported turtle shells from the East, which they soaked in hot oil or water. This made the keratin in the shell pliable enough for them to form tools like bowls and eating utensils. Fortunately for the turtle population, thermoformers today rely on artificial alternatives. In the 1860s, the inventor John Wesley Hyatt invented celluloid, along with the process of heating and stretching it over a mold. Before long, the process was being used to make everything from piano keys to ping pong balls. During World War II, the military used thermoforming to produce heavy duty, cost-effective supplies like machine gun turrets and relief maps. Today, thermoforming is a distinctly fast and versatile method of creating plastic packaging, and is used to make packages for everything from cell phones and pharmaceuticals to food products. First, thermoformers carefully draft designs and construct prototype molds for packages. Next, the plastic sheet is stretched out over the mold and heated until it becomes soft and pliable. The softened plastic adheres to the mold and takes its shape. Sometimes, a vacuum inside the mold holds the plastic in place, keeping it pressed tightly to the mold. This is common for complex designs. Other types of thermoforming may use air pressure or even a second mold to hold the plastic in place. After the plastic cools and hardens, it is cut into pieces—a single sheet can yield a large number of packages, which must be separated after they're formed. Its speed and cost-effectiveness make it one of the most popular methods for processing plastic packaging today. A variety of plastics lend themselves well to thermoforming, including: These aren't all of them, but they're the most common. It all depends on what the individual thermoformer is used to working with—not including turtles, of course!

Australia's First Indigenous Female Politician

An emotional speech rendered by Nova Peris. "Nova Peris, Australia's first Indigenous female politician, sheds tears as she describes her journey to Parliament."

Collection of First brief comparison review between Australia indigenous and Philippines indigenous:

I hope to see the light that we should embrace each other cultural background, tribe and tongue in Australia especially its original indigenous of the vast land. We should learn some from each one dialect we may encounter that is called social connection beyond Facebook, Twitter, etc. This speech from the above video expresses still depth emotional healing and we should be open hearted to our multi-cultural in Australia and its diverse indigenous. Sad to hear from my husband that even in his Australian history the old school never taught them properly of indigenous people and its deep culture, he shared me. Posting this speech should be a celebration that some indigenous in Australia surpasses its painful past and often aware that you are not alone, as Collection of First empathized by sharing Philippines similarity over its past Europeans invasion.

In the Philippines that was once invaded by Europeans for over three decades (prior to the Americans, Japanese, Chinese, Dutch), despite invasion, the old school system manage to teach the Filipinos regarding their indigenous cultures and tribes that still exist today. Filipinos were able to preserve each tribal dialect (languages) despite a mixture of embedded Spanish words in their tongue. Some dialects (languages) kept its origin. Filipinos were unable to use their original Filipino alphabet that the Spanish tried to exterminate. I believe as Filipinos were able to express forgiveness verbally from their past hurting history and resiliently move forward if not because of the well-known Filipino heroes like Jose Rizal and the Christian faith influences (brought by Spanish & Americans). Jose Rizal fought Filipino freedom by the mighty use of his pen not by sword. His writings were mightier than two edged sword, as its quotation.

Some light I could personally share with you. Some white Australian missionaries and other nationalities came/come to the Philippines that we know personally dedicated their lives to our indigenous people and tribal groups. We are grateful that part of it helped our education and lifestyle from the unsophisticated routine and poverty life. The missionaries also connect to local NGO or local churches, which shed more re-connection and collaboration to help our co-tribal Filipino people to move forward and not dwelling in the past.

In Australia, it was former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd led the right leadership of expressing healing of forgiveness to the Australian indigenous people and culture as the story unfold before our eyes.
