What's the world's first handheld 4K camcorder?

JVC announced at the CES 2012 the GY-HMQ10, the world’s first handheld 4K camcorder that records 3840×2160 Quad Full High Definition (QFHD) video images, which is four times the resolution of high definition TV. The camcorder is powered by JVC’s Falconbrid large-scale integration (LSI) chip for high-speed signal processing and sports a 1/2-inch 8.3 Megapixel CMOS imager. The Falconbrid LSI chip takes raw image data from the CMOS sensor and dematrixes (deBayers) it in real time, delivering real-time 3840×2160 footage at 24p, 50p, or 60p. Read more itechnews
